I mean ,I don't believe in this Global Warming crap, but lets say for arguement purposes, that the USA stopped producing any green house gases and we are one of the cleanest enviromental countries on earth, how would that help, if China, Russia, Africa, South America and half of the continent of Europe didn't stop producing green house gases, would you libs want to declare war on these nations to make them clean up their act. I just don't get it, what the USA does alone cannot stop the so called Global Warming, but if it's really Global Warming, then why has NASA said that the temp. on Mars has risen in the past 3 years, maybe it's universe warming, maybe the Sun is burning hotter for a few years or burning hotter, before it burns OUT all together and we are no longer a universe, because we will all freeze to death

Good question. There are two (or more ) sides to every story.
On one hand, we are not an Industrial giant as we once were, but our energy consumption is still rising. We are lazy and greedy in our lifestyles in the US.
On the other hand, the panic laden emotional outbursts of the Enviro-children do not responsibly address a possibly serious problem.

Global Warming may indeed be a real phenomenon, but it does not matter if it is real or not to the agenda driven liberals who are using it as a tool to acquire more power over our lives in terms of legislation & policies.
They always take the position as protectors of "Freedom", but would regulate our lives down to the smallest detail if allowed.

It would help some but of course it would only slow the process, not stop it.

Spam is wrong. The source says that in 2003 the U.S. released 5,802 million tons of CO2, China 3,541, Russia 1,606, and Brazil 351, which means that those 3 countries alone exceed the U.S. release rate. And the China rate is going up faster than the US rate (37% per decade compared to 12% for the U.S.) so that it will be #1 in the world in your lifetime if the trend continues.

Global warming isnt crap.
If US stops that will make a huge impact because the world follows in US footsteps, whether they want it or not.
Most of the pollution is happening by countries who have industries which produce goods/services whose major consumer is the ... USA.
So think before you throw out your pearls of wisdom.

First of all, it's not Global Warming crap. You need to look at the science. I'm not sure why people think this a conspiracy..what do I have to gain from trying to make a healthier environment? Oh, a healthier life for me and my future kids. damn me!

If the US stopped producing GW gasses it would make a huge difference. But, we need to all work together. The sun will burn out, yes...but that's not for a long long time. It's not a reason for us to trash the planet.

It's not hard to do your part and it saves you money.

It would make no difference at all. CO2 makes up only a tiny fraction of grean house gases.. of which human activity generates only a tiny fraction.. of which the US only generates part.

But regardless, CO2 is not the cause of global warming. It is a side effect. The increase in CO2 levels comes AFTER the increase in temperature.

in the short term, no not significant. however trends in history show that America will eventually do the "green thing" and then the other postindustrial nations will do the same, if the UN puts enough pressure on the upcoming industrial nations then there will be a global change for the better

USA is worse than China, Russia, Africa, and South America combined when it comes to contributing to global warming. If anything, they should attack us.

It wouldn't make a bit of difference. Anyone who tells you that it would is either a sucker or trying to sell you something.
