Everyday there is rubbish piling up in skips outside my house. Everything from carpets to bottles to used nappies. Someone once told me that 4% of household waste consists of used nappies. I have no evidence that this is true, but why don't more people reuse and recycle?

The was a programme on in the UK on Channel 4 in which most of the scientists and geology experts were all saying the same thing, global warming is a mostly natural phenomenon and only a tiny percentage is actually created and caused by humans, but they are forced to shut up because the politicians get more mileage out of saying we are all to blame and we should return to the stone age to save the planet. I believe that it is mostly natural and that we are all being conned and forced to stop doing things we enjoy doing in case it's harming the environment. What does everybody else think?

With global warming being such a political hot bed, why is it so hard to find proof that we as humans effect it?
The links i have generally been given are of someones oppinion or an artical of scientific consensus.Algores movies is no help because the producers admitted that alot of the material was made up.
Now the scientist who supposedly started the whole thing says is not real. The only proof of anything so far is that the earth came out of the last Ice Age without mans help, and now the last 10 years show we are getting cooler. It's very odd that no matter what the weather is like some point to it and say there's proof of global warming. this just doesn't make sense. Back in the 70's we were headed into a mini ice age.

Many respected meteorologists are saying that global warming is a political issue more than a scientific one. Al Gore first said he invented the internet now he is an expert on global warming. He is a politician, not a scientist. I am a scientist and when I look at all the facts, I am not convinced that this latest craze is as critical as Gore and his other political cronies make it out to be. I also believe no one or 2 countries can make a difference anyway. I heard that >50% of the smog in LA comes from Chinese factories half a world away. Many nations still use DDT and other chlorinated hydrocarbons as pesticides, and they are not being blamed by Mr. Gore.
