1. It has to change into chemical energy for your body to use. Your body just uses the chemical energies in other organisms. Or your body stores the chemical energy in ATP, Adenosine triphosphate and ADP, Adenosine diphosphate. When you need energy, they release energy by chemical reaction.
2. When body temperature goes up, you turned the chemical energy into thermal energy, but other energy is used to keep you at your normal temperature. You are only feeling it has increased because the surrouding air is warmer than you and you absorb the surrounding temperature, but it does not add to your body temperature, only how you feel.
