What do you think of the "Biofuels Security Act of 2006"? (I paraphrased the bill and provided some links.)

(quotes are from bill)

“INSTALLATION OF E-85 FUEL PUMPS BY MAJOR OIL COMPANIES AT OWNED STATIONS AND BRANDED STATIONS”

Definitions of major oil companies: “…has not less than 4,500 retail station outlets…”

“…installs or otherwise makes available 1 or more pumps that dispense E-85 fuel…”

Percentage of gas stations required by year:
5% 2007

15% 2009
20% 2010
25% 2011
30% 2012
35% 2013
40% 2014
45% 2015
50% 2016 and each calendar year thereafter

Automobiles required to use biofuel by year
10% 2007
20% 2008
30% 2009

If global warming is true, which I don't think so. When most of the glaciers melt and populations are displaced, you think they would have the technology to transfer the displaced water into outerspace so land mass would stay constant. Sounds expensive, but possible.

I've been hearing all this stuff about global warming. how it's messing the earth up. also how the world is coming closer and closer to an end. i was watching the news. they said because f the icecaps and glaciers emlting, its could cause floods. also, its going to get really hot. I hate hot weather. I mean the scientists say this stuff as if they're not even worried about the people. I mean am i he only one freaked out about this? THE WORLD MIGHT BE AT ITS END. im really worried and is there a way we could actually try to prevent this or atleast make it better?

I am doing a project on it and I have tried google wikipedia etc. but they are not so accurate and according to the standard of a high school student.
It will be somewhat like this -
TSUNAMI (introduction),
CAUSE,
CHARACTERISTICS,
IMPACT,
EXAMPLE (2004 indian ocean tsunami),
PRECAUTION,
CONCLUSION.
For each topic I will have to write at least 30 lines.
It's very urgent so please..... help as fast as possible.

Hey, for my Science class' final project I have to research water pollution, specifically dealing with the pollution of hormones in our water (e.g. a woman going through menopause takes her hormonal pill, "pees" it out, flushes toilet, goes into our lakes and rivers, etc...) I have found a few sites, but nothing "special." If anyone has knowledge on this topic, or anything on this would be great! Please cite sources! Thank you so much!

During the oil embargo years during the 1980's, the State of California required all new residential buildings to install Solar hot water heating systems. Hot Water costs a family of 4 an avg of $55/month according to Sempra Energy. With the current federal tax credits it pays for itself in just 2-3 years, so why not require it on all new residential construction across the U.S.?

Solar Electric (Photovolataics) has come down in price to the point where it can pay for itself in just 10 years(or less) in desert areas like Southern California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico & large portions of Texas where summer cooling bills are outrageous. Why not require it on all new construction?

With long term(10+ yr) Sallie Mae loans Solar Electric can actually pay for itself from the start when you factor in Federal Tax Credits and State(like California) or Utility Company(like Nevada) incentives. Why not require it & give property owners Govt secured, long term low interest loans to pay for it?

It seems like a silly question, but my chemistry teacher said the methane from cow's farts damages the environment, and is a large contributor to global warming because of the increasing demand for meat and milk. is this true?
