Hey, for my Science class' final project I have to research water pollution, specifically dealing with the pollution of hormones in our water (e.g. a woman going through menopause takes her hormonal pill, "pees" it out, flushes toilet, goes into our lakes and rivers, etc...) I have found a few sites, but nothing "special." If anyone has knowledge on this topic, or anything on this would be great! Please cite sources! Thank you so much!

Here's links to an online book on endocrine disruptors in the environment, and a shorter EPA document on the topic.

hormones are protein-like so heat is able to destroy these hormones
in addition, the hormones are large so filters can remove them from the water
