What is water pollution and what is the effect of water pollution...

Water pollution is all the bad stuff done to lakes, rivers, oceans and groundwater caused by things that people do. Wikipedia has a good article, below.

You don't pee on your water glass, do you?
I mean, anything you think is not healthy if you did to the water (well, river, lake, ocean, or underground waters) is water pollution.
Unfortunately, the effect of it cannot always be noticed immediately.
