Two-thirds of the US is too cold anyway. If it becomes too hot in Arizona and Texas, who cares? Washington and Oregon will finally be neat places to live. Canada will be better. Coastlines may move, but there will be new beachfront property.

About the only places on the planet that would actually get worse or unlivable would be around the equater - and mostly poor people live there anyway.

Don't you all think that the environmental "gloom and doomers" should start seeing this glass as half full?

Clear disposable cups, such as those used for iced drinks at starbucks, are labeled with a recycling symbol with the number one inside it. Unless I am mistaken, why are these cups not accepted for recycling the same way plastic bottles and aluminum cans are?

I know this is a "crazy" question.
but come on, we all know it restarted before, over and over, when is the next one? I don't care about dying, I just want to know when. give me a number, give it to me in a code, I can decipher codes.

Okay, I'm getting a little tired of this global warming talk, no, i'm not saying the world isn't getting warmer I'm saying, how do you know it's our fault? If I'm not mistaken there was this thing known as the "Ice Age" that came to an end--OH! because of global warming.

Why is it, this time around, it's the human's fault, and not just a natural occurance like back it the Ice Age?

How can our educational system have failed so terribly at bring people up with the ability to learn facts about important subjects to them? People claim to be experts on global warming but when I talk to them about the effects of power generators on the ionosphere they seem clueless as to what im talking about and how it could possibly effect global warming. This stuff isnt exactly rocket science its just basic understanding of physics and basic electricty something I find the average person to be clueless about again. You should at least have a clue as to how the TV your watching every day or microwave you use to cook food with works imo.

We are doing a major renovation to our house which requires a replacement of the heating/cooling system (sufficient for 2500 sq ft). Considering that California has a significant rebate program for PV cells, and the desire to be green, how long would it take to break even on a system of this nature as compared to a regular gas furnace/electric AC? We have great southern exposure, plenty of roof and alot of sun as we are in the South Bay.
