Okay, I'm getting a little tired of this global warming talk, no, i'm not saying the world isn't getting warmer I'm saying, how do you know it's our fault? If I'm not mistaken there was this thing known as the "Ice Age" that came to an end--OH! because of global warming.

Why is it, this time around, it's the human's fault, and not just a natural occurance like back it the Ice Age?

I have this theory about the constant disaster mongers. There are those that really believe every disaster scenario that comes along and they really hate themselves. So they take it out on everybody. Those are the ones that keep saying we have to revert to lifestyles from hundreds of years ago even though any rational person will figure out that its impossible.

Then there are the general fruit cakes who will follow any cause so long as they can make lots of noise and call names. They are some of the most vocal and willingly follow anybody who gets their attention.

Next there are those that have a vested interest in forcing change on everybody else. They profit either monetarily or in status but for them it isn't about right or wrong, its about personal gain.

Then there are the conservative liberals. They have it in their mind that nothing should change, ever. I call them conservative because they are intolerant of change like the hyper conservative but have liberal ideas about the world and environment. In short they want the temperatures to always be the same, the wildlife to never change and the rest of the universe to remain static. They cannot conceive that the world is s dynamic place that is forever changing and evolving and that we are a part of that evolution.

There are two questions to answer here. Is it real? The fanatics are going to tell you that everybody that disagrees with global warming are in the pay of the oil companies. That's pure nonsense. A little honest research will prove that to be hyperbole. The other is are we causing it. If we are causing it we need to adjust our way of life to accomidate the environment. However, that has not been proven yet. If we are not causing it but it is not part of the natural cycle we must not tamper with it in any way. That would be foolhardy in the extreme.

harrisnis is right, the oil industry doesn't want you to know about global warming. Why would they want us to leave oil if they are making record profits from it? Going to other sources of energy is a large shift for them and will require a lot of money, so instead they tell us that global warming isn't our fault, and that it's okay to continue using fossil fuels.

Don't be hoodwinked by the "scientists" who are bought and paid for by the oil industry.

Global warming is real and is caused by the increase in greenhouse gases. The largest contributor to greenhouse gases is the burning of fossil fuels. There is no legitimate scientific authority that disagrees with this.

The sources of disagreement generally come from the industries who benefit from people not believing in global warming. It helps them to confuse people and keep them consuming natural resources.

I agree with harrisnis as well. Believe that it is real... I have been reading about this topic a lot and respectable scientists all agree that we are contributing to the rapid climate change. The amount of pollutants we are emmiting is extremelly high. We have accelerated a chain of events that will prove our downfall. We are facing imminent hunger as glaciers melt and rivers dry. Please allow me to suggest that you do your part in conserving energy and natural resources, recycle, commute instead of driving, educate yourself! And don't let the media, goverment and big oil corporations misinform you.

It is not entirely our fault, it would happen naturally (at least im pretty sure), but humans are DEFINITELY speeding up the process.

Look, we are bad people. I thought you knew that. Now shut up and take your lumps like a good human should.

And start paying your taxes too.

The only good people on earth are indigenous primitives who are sort of 'holy' because they are more animal than man.

What does it matter whose fault it is? If your house is burning down, would you kill the fire if it was caused by lightning? The questions simply are;"Is it beneficial to us?", and "can we stop it?".
