I live in the mid-west where the eastern states are dumping tons of their trash because they are either out of room themselves, or they do not wish to simply smell it. True, they are paying to do this however now we have to smell it. I cannot believe that with all our technology we cannot find a way to burn the bulk of this paper trash and filter out the toxins. Is there something that I am missing here or is there just a lot of money being made behind closed doors at the tax payers expense?

I need to know the basic minimum parameters we need to test when it comes to ensure the safety of drinking water. I know that we have the physical, chemical and microbiological, but which ones are a must, besides E. Coli? Thank you.

If supermarkets had butchery/greengrocery departments, we could choose our produce have it bagged and take it away without the need for plastic trays.

Boxes could be smaller than they are and still contain the same amount.

Some biscuits like yo-yo/viscount types are foil wrapped, placed on a tray and then wrapped again.

Because of global warming, we'll get less snow each year and the ozone layer's hole will expose the entire anatartica from the suns UV ray. Then more people will get skin cancer and if that happens more disease will form. probably end up killing the fishes in the sea too... raise up the sea level, more storms.. then if that happens we'l either die of hydration or a new ice age will begin? I dont know my friend told me this and it kind of make sense i think... do u think global warming is getting a big issue?

All creatures in the earth make nature's ecosystem to flourish. Its only MAN who loots, plunders for each n every source of wealth he can get outta her..
Man continues polluting her land, air, water, forests resources (trees, elephant's tusks, tiger's skin, lion's flesh and wat not)..
*AIR polluted with automobile exhausts, flouro carbons, industrial gases ,SO2, CO etc., causing ozone depletion, global warming..
*LAND polluted by 1)extracting existing ground water, oils (petro fuels) all for his inventions for comfort 2)building 100 storied towers whose foundation piles go deep as hundreds
of meters causing pressure on moving geo plates.. imparting strain energy into the geo system.Disposing plastics, polymers which donot decompose even after millions of years, calling all these as revolution, acheivement blah blah..
then our elixir of life-
*WATER-1)disposing indusrial effluents into rivers making them fit for nothin 2)disposal into into seas killing millions of marine life.Discuss.

I am doing a science project. After taking a sip of water from a water bottle and putting the bottle in the refrigerator, after how many days does the water become unsafe to drink? Is there a certain site that could help me, because all I have found are sites relating to something about bacteria on the surface.
I would much appreciate as much help as possible!
