Just follow this highly oversimplified series of events.
Factories output too much CO2 ==> Seeps into ocean, increasing acidity ==> Fish, marine life die ==> Birds which feed off the fish die ==> Bats, Pests, Butterflies, and other Bugs which the birds eat flourish.
No lie, look it up!

Actually the temperature of the earth has only increased 7/10 of 1 degree C since 1880. That is an increase of 1.08 degrees F in 125 years. Not really very much at all.
Below is a link taking you to a NASA chart showing the temperature change from 1880 to 2005. See for yourself here: http://data.giss.nasa.gov/gistemp/2005/2005cal_fig1.gif
There are numerous charts all over the internet showing the same. The fact that people choose to ignore the facts of these charts shows that they have an agenda to convince the masses of something that really is not happening.
Most of you will not remember but back in the '70s but I remember all the hype was about global cooling and another ice age was coming. They blamed pollution for that too. They said that all the pollution was darkening the skies and not as much sun was coming through so the earth was cooling off. There are some that always want to stir things up and scare people and this is just another attempt to do just that. We needed waste our money trying to "solve" this one either. We have many other major problems. Here's the link about global cooling: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_cooling

Climate change is neither good nor bad; occurrences that are natural are simply neutral. Nothing is static in nature, so why are people who call themselves scientists acting like Chicken Little? Though it is shamefully unscientific, there is much publicity and federal funding to be gained from anthropomorhpising and politicising nature.
If the Earth is warming up right now, it may be the result of a temporary weakening of the planet's magnetic field as we gradually approach a polarity reversal. This has happened before and is clearly not The End of the World. The process of a global polarity shift can easily cause elevated temperatures, erratic weather, increased cancers, and possibly even disastrous effects on migratory animals.
A generally warmer climate would obviously be great news for many organisms. After all, one of Earth's periods of Global Warming was thoroughly enjoyed by, among other things, cycads, dragonflies, and, of course, dinosaurs! The lush landscapes of ferns and reptiles recorded in our rocks were nothing like the wasteland described as our future by today's panic-mongers.

Is seems everyone thinks that global warming is something that us humans have done. What if its actually the core of the earth expanding and slowly working its way to the surface? I havent answered your question at all, but it seems to me that the media are the ones thriving it.

yes there are some creatures thriving on global warming
mainlky it s the politicians, environmentalists and scientist promotoing a green agenda without fullyundersandign the science
on a more serious note
there will be some organisms that will move into areas that were previously not sutiable for them
(examples of this include Cod moving further North out of the North Sea), New plants and animlas colonising new areas.
Nature is not a static thing... as environemnts change animlkas and palnts move into new areas. sometimes they die out in old areas

firstly global warming, as most people are led to believe it to be, still hasn't actually been scientiically proven. but as climate shifts are happening there are some creatures, forms of brittish birds etc that are benifiting from longer, warming breeding periods in the spring and summer, also meaning that the young have longer to build up strength and immunities before the cold months set in

Well at present rate 15% av all living creatures are dying, many from the global warming. It is strongly believed that some of them are so called key species, if one of them goes, we can have a real global disaster, and that would kill us as well.

The species of "greedy humans" thrive while the earth suffers. Stop feeding in to the greed and support the environment.
T's the greed of man that destroys everything! Greed, power hungery, abusive humans who don't care... they are the one's who thrive on the suffering of the environment!

Fewer birds are dying in the winter (robins, for example) as it's not so cold. Same goes for human beings: a very cold winter kills thousands of elderly people in the UK. A mild one sees more of them survive.
