Could you please be more precise?
Probably your plants are withering very fast.
So they will have to finish the reproductive cycle before the dry season or evolve some other adaptations (succulence or light lanate leafs, long roots)

Makes it very hard to survive. Mother nature is always trying us all for the survive of the fittest.
