Get rid of oceans.
Ban earthquakes.
Live in the mountains.
Live in the Midwest.
Don't run back to pick up the fish (like they did in Hilo).
If you see the water recede, you do so too. Fast.
Increase your lung capacity.
Have a warning system.
Go to the beach on the Atlantic instead.
Wear a flotation device at all times.
I don't know if there are 15. What's the hurry? Are you expecting one? Or you need to hand your homework in right away?

Make sure you live in an area that has an adequate response plan in place.
Live on high ground
Keep a radio or TV with batteries in case you lose power so you can stay in touch
Plan an evacuation route and leave town every time there's an earthquake out at sea
Keep a floatation device on hand
Make sure you can tread water for 5 hours
Form a neighborhood tsumami watch group

Make underground Volcanoes illegal
Change the laws of gravity so all water is held still
Fill all the oceans with Jello mix so it can't make waves (this could also solve world hunger)
Live on a boat far out at sea.
Threaten to beat the water if it misbehaves.
Build everything out of diamonds.
