i heard that if you breathe gas for a long time you can die. theres a huge gas leak in NY from 31st to 40th st. and i'm up on the 40th floor in a high rise and can still smell it every strongly.. most of the buildings have evacuated.. what should i do?!?!

Go shopping, go to the park / library

Leave everything as it is. Don't bother with the lights or the computer. Just go. And I would take the stairs..... at least down is easier than up.

Get out now ,do not Waite as methane rises ,u could be in as much danger as the ground floor.

I would stay with friends or live in a motel until everything "blows over." It will be safer for you.

EVACUATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Get out of their - stay in a hotel, with family or friends until you are told everything is safe.

Open your windows and dont use any switches and for Pete's sake CALL FOR HELP!!!!!!!!!! And evacuate if you still smell it.
