You could only answer this question in theory, since it has never happened. Personally, I doubt it because the sun's light would be considerably diminished under the canopy.

Some creationists believe in a canopy existing before the flood. I think this is contradictory of scripture before the flood because the water would not allow anyone to see the sun, moon and stars clearly.

(If you want to know what happens to sun light as it passes through water, just go to the lake. Put your head under the water and see how dark it gets only 12 inches under the water. 50 feet down you have to use an underwater light to see.)
