So isn't everything made by man actually a natural product?

John - That's what I mean. Everything started with something that was naturally on earth to begin with. Even synthetics started with something on earth to start with, everything does.

xaviar - i'm obviously talking about a 'solid or physical' product, not an intangible item like an insurance policy ( paper of the policy is 'natural') or an audible sound like music (although, sound was here before WE were, so it also is 'natural' and is made by a 'product' man made.)

sckuperman- I'm not into the 'god' thing but you get the idea. It's the same thing. None of those things would be made without the beginnings of something that was naturally here to start with. (^_~)

Here is a parable, which i always find amusing - even if you don't believe in religion or G-d...

"Mankind marveled at how far they had evolved, so Man shook his fist in defiance to G-d and exclaimed, 'See! We can clone, we can create Man from scratch now, just like you! From ashes and dust, bah!'...

"G-d calmly replied, 'Oh you can, can you? Tell you what, you make a Man and I'll make a Man. If you succeed beside me in your efforts I will concede your assertion'...

"So, a bioengineer was tasked by Mankind with making a Man. The bioengineer bent over to pick up some ashes and dust when G-d sternly reproached, 'Oh, no! You get your own ashes and dust! I made those and those are mine!'"

Very good question. From a "thinking" woman.
Yes, you are correct. Although we as humans like to believe we are so great and all mighty. We are but pawns in the plan of God.

I enjoy a lot of your questions. Have noticed we think a lot alike.
Hope to see you in Washington in June.

Nope. Here's a few unatural things- telephone numbers and your name.

But also Polonium 209 and other elements that decay too fast to be around, as well as music and other created things that wouldn't exist in any sense without man here to make them.

But if you are asking do we create material things out of nothing? We don't do that.

No. That's why they're called synthetics. Of course if you break it all down into molecular structure, molecules could be considered natural. Therefore, in this aspect all things could be considered natural synthetics. I guess it would be in the eye of the beholder.
