What are your thoughts on global warming? Obviously it is a real threat to us, but some scientists think that we're in the end of the Ice Age and we're getting back to the temperature that the Earth really should be. Just curious for other people's input.

Meat tastes better from butchers, veg is better from greengrocers. Most of the food in supermarkets is overly packaged rubbish. Am I alone in avoiding these awful places? It's really time that these places were boycotted. Anyone agree?

They could, for example, sterilise plastic bottles (e.g. milk containers) and reuse them. Why doesn't the Govt. insist on this? When I was growing up we used to hand our fizzy drinks bottles back to the shop (and get a small refund) and the bottles were reused. I don't understand why this isn't happening?

Now that papers are so expensive (e.g.Sunday Observer £1.80) I can no longer afford this simple luxury. Anyone in the same situation? Perhaps a good thing, as less trees will be cut down. Anyone thought of a newspaper share club? And is anyone worried about the rise in gas prices? Anyone had an enormous bills yet? Exactly how much (percentage) has the average bill gone up by?

Every time I turn on the news, there is some weather report forecasting the strange extremities in the recent weather, but no one really comments on the underlying cause - the greenhouse effect, polution, and the glaciers melting. Is this a conspiricy to keep modern man from knowing the truth about his cause & effect?

The way I see it there are 6 billion, or so, living breathing human beings on this planet that are constantly producing CO2. I use my car for 20 minutes a day but I breathe all day. Don't you think I produce more CO2 than my car? Don't for get I have to eat which means I need to support myself with either raising other CO2 producers like cows, fish, chicken, etc., and also consuming CO2 users like plants.

What's the cause of this cycle? Natural cycles don't just "happen", they have to have a cause.
And before you answer, keep in mind that the sun is NOT the cause. Much to the chagrin of many "sceptics", the sun is monitored very closely and is not the cause of the current climate shift. The sun may contribute to the warming, but it is not the cause. See chart linked below for the modeled trend and the variations in the major forcings that contributed to 20th century climate.
