Global pollution has an impact on the quality of air, air temperature and can result in higher cases of respiratory problems for the very young and old. Indoor pollution can do the same thing. But can even be worsened if occupants smoke and the carpets are left dirty. Local pollution would usually derive from the effects of global pollution. However, if your town has heavy industry with smoke stacks, unless an ordinance is in place to curb pollution, the result can be devastating.
