In my opinion, knowledge of events is power to prepare. In world history, there have been several life exterminating events (the end of the dinosaurs, the disappearance of Sub-Homo-Sapiens).

Life has managed to continue. With the technology we have today, there is no reason why a catastrophe would have to wipe out all life on this planet.

If you were to read the Bible, you would see that it predicts a world wide time of trouble where wars and natural disasters will kill more than1/3 of the world population (that would be over 2 Billion people). Some believe that this event will start within the next 20 - 30 years.

There is no reason to fear an event such as this. Life is too hard to give up, surrender, lay down and quit.
