My poor neighbors always seem really sick in the winter. The temp. of their house never drops below 70. We keep our furnace on 64 or 66. We visit with them daily and hardly ever catch what they have. Does the higher temp. allow germs to breed more fully in the warmer atmosphere? I have searched the web for an answer and have not found anything out. Hopefully someone can shed some light on this subject.

I say yes. We need a cleaner energy source capable of replacing fossil fuels in a hurry. Today's third generation plants are far safer than the early pioneering reactors which were themselves very safe as their past record demonstrates. There has never been a serious accident in the West resulting in loss of life. Chernobyl was the result of sloppy Russian safety protocols and a total disregard for the environment. With a World forever demanding increasing amounts of energy nuclear is the only sane option. Human civilisation can't run on sunshine and breezes. Besides, what do the greenies think solar energy is anyway? It's radiation from that giant thermonuclear reactor the Sun. Instead of being afraid of technology we should embrace the nuclear option.

I mean, distillation is when water is turned into steam and then condenses as pure water, so why not take advantage of a source of steam. Surely the water does not contain radiation.

Are natural crystals and semi precious stones used by the new age movement (of which I'm one) mined? if so, how much impact is that mining or harvesting having on the surrounding environment and local people?
If grown, where do the raw materials come from, how and whats the environmental impact of this?
so are new age folk actually, albeit unwittingly, sponsoring what they denounce?
I can't seem to find any information on this at all!

We all know it is devastating to the air we breath. Why not just ban it for good? I live in an area that the air gets trapped and the pollution level skyrockets because of this. Please, no stupid angry full of attitude responses. I really want serious answers on what could possibly be done about this.

Today I bought some fresh herbs - to grow myslef - instead of dry ones - (Save packaging, and puts oxygen into my house, and saves money).

I have energy efficient lightbulbs,

I also tuck my curtains behind my radiators!!! ( this is a huge huge tip that makes a massive difference!)

If you do, maybe you haven't read the Bible closely enough. Remember the flood? Remember Sodom and Gomorrah? It seems unlikely to me that the God described in the Old Testament will bail us out if we continue on our present course to make the world uninhabitable.

Recently in my World Studies class we learned about Global Warming. We watched a whole video on article on it, I believe their isn't enough evidence. I think it's just a natural occurence. Am I stupid for not believing in Global Warming? I don't know anymore because of all this propaganda. Yes there has been a increase in temperatures and Co2 emissions. But what else can prove that Global Warming Theory is 100% real?

We use Carbon Dioxide for refidgeration purposes, the oil industry uses it to assist with the extraction of oil from wells and ther must be dozens of other applications -- so why manufacture the gas when it could be extracted from the air? I understand that the oceans can absorb Carbon Dioxide so why not extract it from the air and pump it into the sea. If all of this is possible then would it not help to lower if not alleviate the growing Carbon Dioxide problem in the earth's atmosrhere?problem

our resources are scarced, and the world is becoming more and more polluted by day. It is possible for mankind to survive for a relatively long period of time? our oil is draining everday and conservation of nature is not enough to preserve this world.
What do you think?
