Why is this world messed up due to the world of politics? We spend £21 billion UK for a war of oil called a freedom of a people we wouldn't otherwise care about (no offense) losing life's of g8 guy's. When £21 billion in renewable fuel would supply enough energy not to need oil. Brazil produces 50% of it's energy from 1 dam! We tax big jeeps only because they got money when their influence on climate destruction is less than a chav with 10 children's daily rubbish. It is now commercially viable to use re-newneable techniques due to products on the market but politicians still use oil / coal / gas which is the main problem not 4 wheelers. Who are actually pulling the strings & does the commodities of coal / oil / gas really generate such economic benefit to the world? when we wont have an earth left & the commodities of air / water / thermal could be just as profitiable. Don't MP's not see past 5yrs when businessmen have 50yr visions? What the F.. is Blair doing with the N.Power road?

In the context of our resources, such as energy, water, etc.
Such that every person has an allowance which should be enough to sustain life, health and a reasonable level of comfort. Thus if you chose to use a gas guzzler car, then you would not be able to travel as far as the guy with the moped. You would have enough water to wash flush and drink per day, and if you chose to live alone in a large house you would only be able to heat a couple of rooms, instead of 10 people in a bungalow who could live in a sauna!!.
OK, this is only a brainstorming thought, it is appreciated that it would be difficult to implement, but as a principle, it could be the basis for some sort of fair system perhaps, such that the rich would have to comply

River Yamuna (tropical India) gets extremely polluted near my home town- Dissolved oxygen drops to ZERO- killing aqua fauna.

water levels in the river vary hugely- from about 100 ft deep in monsoons to just above 1 ft in dry seaon. highly corrupt and ineffective pollution control authorities unable to rein in the pollution despite drains being provided with effluent treatment systems.

I feel that some mechanical/natural aerators within the river stream - which do not require external energy supply could be a long term - low cost solution.

Any suggestions???

Where are we going in 300,000 years what would we be like
Is it possible for our human race to evolve so much we overcome our enviorment
through evolotion and mind power/ intellegence and (adapting and overcoming) to the extent so that no matter what (even if the world exploded or worse) or the sun blew up our race would survive for us to progress so much that we would become what we call super human and a superior race if not why? if so how long? and what would be the road best taken and the worse? also could we create new worlds through our evolving? planetsgalaxy's elect if not why not?
all serious therioes welcome

the "ecosystem" being what it is, why is there a "shortage" of water ?is it due to reduced rainfall in some areas or what ? a water shortage in places such as the United kingdom, Australia ? unheard of, maybe some clever clogg out there can explain it. If the ecosystem is not working then where is the water going ?

Everything warms up in the sun. Loses heat later when the sun has gone. So which material or methods will hold most heat, so there is more heat to release later in the day, so keeping the building warmer, longer before I need to turn on the internal heating?
I know it will only affect walls facing the sun, but it
all helps. Expensive ideas are probably not worth it,cash wise. I'm looking to pay something extra which will save rather more over time. Summer heat is no problem, it's the winter which bothers me.
