If you are looking for politicians to fix things, you are in for a great deal of dissappointment. Engineers and scientists, fix things. Sometimes they are not always agreed on what needs fixing and/or how to go about fixing. This is where the politicians come in. They choose the side of the scientists/engineers whose path most closely coinsides with their agenda, and give their support to that group. Such things as hard evidence means little or nothing to them. The result is that sometimes Engineers and Scientists get funding to fix a real problem, but just as often the get funding to fix something that isn't broken, wasting resources that could be better spent elsewhere.

I know I didn't anwser the question, but the question pissed me off. I wish that people would use there heads to think about how they state a question before they post them

Politicians want to keep alive in votes. If some politician wanted to go green they would be kicked out for radical ideas. There were politicians who were unpopular because they wanted to use recycled water for toilet water. Now toilet water in australia needs to be recycled water because the drought is really bad. Politicians will do things to keep alive. they don't care about the people.

Which politician? Where's the drought? Be more specific. People around the world are reading your question, not just the people in your hometown.
