I am involved in the campaign to save an ancient green space, in Bristol, called Castle Park, from a development that will remove at least 20+ large, mature, deciduous trees.
1) How can we evaluate their contribution in removing CO2 and producing O2?
2) How much does their leaf litter contribute to soil fertility?
3) How can we roughly translate girth and height into these in/outputs?

I've looked a bit, but I can't seem to find many estimated or average statistics on things like fossil fuel emissions, and their sources like cars, factories, and other such things. Answers with sources would be great. Plus any other amounts of pollution annually or daily would make an answer even better.

I've done some reading and research to how much a human body odor can pollute the air that scientist call olfs. Now even though scientist claims that a human body odor is considered as a type of air pollution, do you think it is even though it's a small amount of odor?

I am joking. I have to write a research paper about environment, please help me to choose a topic. I need a topic on which I can find lots of information, which does not involve lots of science. Thanks

I want you to imagine the ongoing life cycle of a carbon atom. Recall that carbon is either in the form of inorganic CO2, or an organic form such as surgar, protien, or fat which includes oils and fossil fuels. You are to tell a story describing the first 3 billion years of your life. Where did you start? (Note that all carbon must start as an inorganic carbon dioxide). What molecules have you been a part of (such as an organic surgar that was converted to protien in a muscle cell? What animals or plants, in the form of organic carbon, have you been joined to? Where have you be en, and how did you get there?

I'm having a bit of a hard time getting started but I was thinking about starting off with:

Once apon a time, long ago when bacteria ruled the world; One Carbon molecule stands up for his rights and freedoms as organic carbon dioxide.

Any ideas?
