Your county or city government should have a Recycling Coordinator. Call City Hall or the county and ask for the number. If your county doesn't have one, you can call your county's waste management office. Ask them about what programs they have for electronics disposal. If none exist, there are some private companies that offer the service and perhaps you can organize a collection day for your community with their help. Good Luck.

DO not throw away the copper. From old electronics, you can find copper the most valuable thing ever known to man. There is a shortage of copper so save the copper. In australia, copper has trippled in value. For stuff that does not have copper in it like printers, then you should contact your local recycling plant. They should be able to help you out. HOwever keep what copper you have. It'll be really priceless when the world does not have enough communcaiton material. You got a good 20 years left of copper.
