I got arrested, fined $50000 and served 18months in prison for feeding the penguins and the zebras at my local Zoo. A bit harsh?
I fed the penguins to the polar bear and the zebras to the lions.

Because they have an arrangement. The bears don't eat them and in return the penguins live the other side of the world.

Probably because they don't live in the same hemisphere. Unlike humans, polar bears very sensibly do not feel the need to truck in food from exotic locales when they can feed themselves quite adequately with what's available in the area they live in.
