Concerns are raised about the impacts of ruminants producing methane on global warming. But what about the vast number of ruminants that have been wiped out? Millions of bison in North America, probably over 80% of the antelope, buffalo and other big grazers in Africa etc. They must have farted methane too, but no more.

And the last Ice Age was a period of truly immense herds, often of animals much bigger than their modern relatives.

Why did these not cause warmiing in the past?

reading what some people say about global warming i get the feeling a lot of people believe that its going to destroy us all or something. I just wanted to inform you that our climate may change by a few degrees and we may have a few more storms. but it is not the end of the world, we will survive it, everyone just relax. Do you agree with me or have you been taken in by the news over dramatising it?

I'm wondering melanin production is linked to climate - for familes that have lived in the uk for several generations how many more will it be for the part of the body that controls melanin start naturally to produce less as a result of environmental conditions and lightening the skin tone to deal with new climatic conditions, conversly to this how many generations did it take the average caucasion in say australia to increase melanin production to deal qith the hotter climate ooh this one might be easier to trace 9 im interested in the speed of human evolution to climate,
