Every gas is technically pollution if it's not something that is naturally part of the atmosphere in an amout comparable to the released gas. But some significant air pollutants are methane, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, and sulfur dioxide.

Three different things cause air pollution: Burning processes for producing energy, engined traffic and industry. These are spreading harmful gasses like SO2, CO, CO2, lead, smoke, soot, sour and hydrocarbons. CO2 causes global warming.

Carbon Dioxide from cars is the main one, but after watching the news over the past few days and hearing all the rubbish from the politicians, I think the gasses from their mouths have alot to do with it.

As long as any type of gas enter the atmosphere unnaturally, say due to factories or burning, it is considered pollution. Even if it is just oxygen which is being produced by other means than natural, it is pollution. Pollution is basically entering of foreign substances.

nixious dioxides
anything that is pumped out of factories, cars etc.

NOT carbon dioxide, or oxygen like some are saying as these are natural gases

Pollution , the major cause r exhaust gases and the co2 from burning fuel. CFC, another major source. SO2,CO2, also cause pollution
