The cost of it won't affect us, but future generations. There is 100,000 Years worth or ice in the Arctic that has melted over just the last 100 Years! That water has to go somewhere, and in the next 100 years, it will flood out the cost lines of every continent on the planet. Anyone who doesn't care is just ignorant.

Global Warming is a gremlin of ignorance to the developed nations of the world. Science can persuade people when ignorance is present. In this case, people don't understand that there is simply not enough evidence (data) to conclude with any level of certainty that Global Warming is a real phenomenea. People rely on computer simulations that do little to help us determine the real outcome of things to come. This year computer simulations led us to believe it would be the worst hurricane season on record, and look at it now, it is BELOW average.
EVEN IF global warming is a real phenomenea, no one knows what will happen in the long run. Just because storms appear to be getting more violent (which they are NOT) doesn't mean that the trend will continue. Global Warming could bring on another ice age, and in that case we wouldn't have to worry about it being to hot outside.
In all simplicity, we do not understand the environment enough to effectively predict what will happen in the future.

I'm not that worried because I'm an old man. If you're young you should be very worried.
Global warming could easily flood coastal areas and seriously hurt growing food all around the world. The world won't end and neither will man, but a lot of people will die and a lot of countries will become poor. The economic result will touch pretty much everybody, and in a bad way.

I'm not worried at all. They've been saying that the planet is warmer that it's been in 500,000 years, but that just means that it was warmer 500,000 years ago. Seeing as how primates have been on this planet for about 6.5 million years, and Hominids for about 1.6 million years, I doubt this is the worst we've ever seen. Don't forget those few events called ice ages that we lived through too, which seemed to come out of nowhere, and I have no doubt in my mind that they'll happen again.
Another thing is that we're not the only planet experiencing these problems. There are other planets in our solar system that have depleting atmospheres, melting ice caps, and stuff like that. What cars are they driving there on Jupiter? Like most political debates, it's all about money, money, money.

I'm not worried about global warming, I know it's going to really affect my life when things change but there's nothing we can do about it now. It's already too late so there's no point worrying about something I can't do anything about. Just learn to live with the changes.

Global warming is a plausible theory, but not a provable theory, at least not yet. Time will tell, unless the suspected causes are reversed before the fluctuations can be averaged out.
Objective scientists know this. Don't believe anyone who insists it's happening, and don't believe anyone who insists it's not!

if the tempreture drops a few degrees it could be quite devasting to the environment it effects millions of things ecosystems just like one massive chain reaction they say in 60 years there could be an iceage as the rain forrests are taking so much carbon dioxide that eventually it will just spew it and we get an ice age but i honestly couldnt give a **** cos the worlds gonna learn the hard way i reckon .

The World Health Organisation says 150000 people are dying due to climate change per year, now.
It's a lot more serious than "A few more storms" and it is getting worse.

I caught the tail end of a report the other night that ozone layer has started to repair itself. In another 60 years it wll be back to where it was ten years ago.
So why has that not made a bigger impact on the headlines - perhaps because it is not sensationalism.

Not worried exactly, but i feel i have a responsibility to do my bit to help the planet.
I am glad that supermarkets are offering more alternatives to plastic carrier bags - got a jute one from Sainsbury's the other day, seems like it'll last forever.
