I can be more specific: my favourite day is the day after midwinter. Then the days start getting longer and I always feel grateful for that.

I only recognize 1 of those! What is Summer, Autumn or Spring?
Winter of course is one of the longest seasons in some parts of the country, but it is only one of 3 seasons. The other 2 seasons include Road Construction, and of course Pothole season. Pothole comes twice a year - right after Winter, and then of course following Road Construction, before Winter returns.
As far as my best - coming from Northern Lambeau country (Go Packers!) I personally don't like the extreme cold of winter, or the extreme heat in the thick of Road Construction, so I'll say my favorite season is the more temperate Pothole1 and Pothole 2, when temps are comfortable outside and few pesky mosquitos are out to get their dinner!

Ah, that would be summer; long warm days with clear blue skies, closely followed by spring; all the prospect of summer, life re-born from the depths of winter and all the hope and expectation that brings. Autumn is my third favourite for the colour of our English landscape, with the cold, dark, wet winter my least favourite, with short days and cold nights and only Christmas to look forward to.

I love the colour and warmth of summer, the colour and breeze of autumn, the snow in winter and the first flowers of spring along with all the new life. I could not pick between them any easier than I could choose a favourite between my children.

Autumn - there's a bit more magic in the air in autumn than in any other season. It's something to do with that first chilly smell in the air, which makes you long for cocoa and a big log fire after an afternoon tramping through the leaves.

Got to be Autumn - nothing better than wrapping up on a cold, bright day and kicking though Autumnal leaves, holding hands with a lover and hugging to keep warm. Have a good Autumn sweet Emma. x

Autumn. Walking through the woods with a carpet of leaves under your feet. The beautiful colours that come with the season and the weather can still be quite nice. It has always been my favourite time of year

Autumn never lasts long enough. The colours, the freshness and seeing everything getting sorted for winter. The perfect season.
Later: Crikey what a load of old tosh, to much Red wine last night methinks. Autumn = Conkers, thats it!

My favorite season is Spring, because it brings the renewal of life after the long winter sleep.
