the question should be - how do you plan to react to it, if the end was near? would you act any differently than you currently are? Would you be more eco-friendly and conserve energy more? Or would you go out spend all of your money thinking the end was near and you wanted to go out for that last hurrah?
If you live in the eye of the lord, then the way you act, with or without the end in site, would not change. Which makes this question a moot point to answer to begin with. Stay the path!

Things are not nearly as bad now as they were in the 1300s. That was during the plague, when about a third of all people in Europe died. And how about the 1500s. That was the time of the little ice age when unusually cold weather made our weather look perfect by comparison.
People just have this tendency to think their own problems are the worst ever experienced by anyone. But they are wrong.

It's gonna end sometime, but I can't tell you when. As it's ending, the the stars will fall from the sky and Jesus will come again. More than that I can't tell you.
I met a lady who was from the Jehovah's Witness. She told me the end was near for this world and that's it's going to much better after. How much faith you put in this idea is up to you.

No, I think it means the weather is messed up.
There were the "La Nina" storms a few years ago, and the "El Nino" storms a few years before that.
I had to deliver my oldest daugher's wedding dress across the Sierra Nevada mountaian range during, "the worst blizzard in 205 years." some years back.
If the end of the world happens in our lifetimes, it will either occur so quickly that we will barely be aware of it, or it will occur for reasons that will be much too late for us to repair.

According to the Bible, many of the things the world is experiencing now seem to point to the fact that we are in the "Last Days." However, we don't know when that appointed day or hour will be. I think that we should live our lives in a manner as if each day was our last day.

Yes...the end of the world, the beginning of the new world, interaction of two universe...oh...why would it matter, I guess what is important for us right now is to be happily responsible for what we are doing...feeling less stressed at work, taking care of what we have...doing things that are awesome to anyone who know it...coming from us...and they won't blame those deeds coming from Martian.

The world doesn't have a beginning or an end. The species known as "humans" have a beginning and their end may be a result of their failure to adapt.

Nah, it's far, far away. And out of reach. But civilisations come and go, ending their part of their world. The end of the world, their world.
