Perhaps you mean "continental shelf"?

The bit where the bottom of the shallow seas fall away to the bottom of the ocean (abyssal plain) is the continental shelf, whereas the bit where the land meets the sea/ocean is the littoral zone (shoreline).

Your question isn't clear. The obvious answer is "shore", which is where the land actually goes under water.

I think you may be referring to the continetal slope, where the shallow water around the land (the continental shelf) actually plunges down to very deep water (the abyss).
