Do you hate to make Mid-Term Exams? They are so long... I just made my exams (Chemistry= 100 question) (Physics= 75 question). I started them at 3:30 and just now finished at 6:30.

What do you think?

i am little concerned about it bcause i have never been studied in US.my daughter is donig good in class and getting citizenship award every month.last month she got the batch of academic excellence and small gift from principal for her performance in the class.her teacher says that if she follows the direction in the class she can get student of the month title.she is usually attentive in class and listens to teacher and i have never got any complaint about misbehaving.she has good frds too.so i am unable to understand what she is lacking.pls guide me.another thing i have noticed that the kids who r getting this title in class are very quite while my daughter try to discuss the things regarding class work with her teacher and she is very creative in her work and thoughts.is this the reason?

Students dont treat me like a teacher but like one of them! Some even flirt and it's really hard! I'm a strict teacher and there silent but i know they dont take me seriously!

So i want to tell my AP Psychology teacher that I'm gay. She's a person that I can trust and will be supportive. She's very open-minded, which is good. In Ohio, what is the teacher confidentiality codes? Will she be required to tell my parents/guidance counselor/principal, etc? Thanks!

With all these school shootings and gun exchages don't you think its time that teachers have guns...of course it would be under lock and key like that safe from Lost if anyone watches there where it would only be able to open with a master key which the teacher would have at all times!

Of course the teachers would have to learn how to shoot it first but that shouldn't take too long???

So my question is....

wat do u think about teachers having guns??!??!?!

At my school theres always someone making out with each other in the hallways and people can't get to classes on time because of them blocking the way.
Are teachers ok about students making out at school?

The teacher talks in graphic detail about abusing and killing animals, among other crazy things she does in class. To my surprise, the principals and the superintendent will do nothing about it. I have even tried taking my daughter out of that class, but they refuse. Please help.. I am at my wits end with this school and the whole school system. is there anyone else who can do something?

One of my second graders did not return from recess. The school security came to my room and said the student had purposely tried to trip one of the recess monitors who is an elderly woman with a cane.

I didn't know what to say. I felt really awkward. The security said the student is in serious trouble and they were going to try and call her Mom.

An hour later, I saw the officer in the hall and he said the administration is going to take care of it and something "Serious and heavy" was coming.

I'm scared for the kid. What she did was wrong, but she's only in second grade. What are they going to do to her? Suspension?

One of my colleagues (a male), is dating a female students that was in his class last year. She graduated in June and is 18, yet I still think this is very unethical. He was teaching her and giving her grades 6 months ago! I also wonder if it is legal, since she is under 21, and he is 30. Opinions please.

I have a teacher who calls on you even if you didn't raise your hand.So, I end up nervously giving stupid answers.Will this cause her to grade my papers with bias? Like if I deserve an A do you think she'll give a B+.What does this say about me as a student? This is really stressing me out!

I'm an English teacher, I have this gang of three jerks in my class, they're rude, and not decipliend in any sense of the word. I ignored them for two sessions, I didn't greet them, didn't ask them questions and it really worked. They were bored to tears and that was exactly what I wanted. Today I saw them coming outta the dean's office but the dean hasn't talked to me yet. Do you think I should keep ignoring them?
