The Texas Ranger Division, commonly called the Texas Rangers, is a law enforcement agency with statewide jurisdiction based in Austin, the capital of Texas, in the United States. Over the years, the Texas Rangers have investigated crimes ranging from murder to political corruption, acted as riot police and as detectives, protected the Texas governor, tracked down fugitives, and functioned as a paramilitary force at the service of both the Republic (1836–45) and the state of Texas.

The Texas Rangers Division is opening the Texas Rangers History and Education Center in Kerrville, Texas.

I want to first see if teachers and students would be interested in what the center has to offer. Would you like to use any specific resources? Would you like to visit the Center, etc.

If you aren't from Texas, but do teach history, what are the things important to you and your students as far as resources and learning centers?

Thanks!!

My thoughts exactly. Why don't you channel the resources into the museum in Waco? Neither city is huge, so you aren't going to get the traffic that you would get if you built in DFW or Houston. So, why have two such places dedicated to the same subject?
