Why should I do homework? So, I can work in a cubicle the rest of my life? I could get more money by dancing and having men give me cash to cop a feel.

My guidance couselor, whom I love, is apperantly getting laid off effective in September, along with 4 other teachers. Is there anything I can do to prevent this? She is an excellent couselor and an excellent person in general and certainly deserves this job. Please help! There is a board meeting tomorrow so I need info ASAP

hey im moving about 2 hours away from my best friend i will be in 10th grade next year and im going to a different school for the first time in my life and im scared to go!!!!!! but i have no choice except to stay with my sister but me and my sister fight to much i wouldnt be able to handle it!!!!! what do i do???? i go to a small school now but when i move ill go to a huge school im freaked out totally!!!!! give me advise and im a nice person and easy to make friends but i just dont think ill make friends at my school!!!!!!

Does anyone know of any online sites where I can get FREE printouts of things for us to do at home. We are currently working on counting by 2's, 5's and 10's. I have introduced a little addition and subtraction. She has asked me to teach her how to write in cursive. I don't want to overwhelm her but summer vacation is near and I want to make sure she stays "on point". Please help. Thanks!!!

The sun was shinning and it was my first day of SOASC(boys school), i heard the excited sound of 4Sc1 laughter and voices tumbled down the corridor before i entered the classroom. i felt agitated but able to get through it. I sat beside a window facing the teacher's desk and observed all the people who I would eventually befriend with.

Though i am surrounded by familiar faces, i do not recognize anyone and i never felt so alone...




PS. pls someone rewrite this if is is messed up. i need a desperate help.

I am just curious as to what others think? I believe that being able to follow directions, pay attention for reasonable time periods, cooperating with others, and a problem solving attitude are the most important things we can encourage in our children rather than teaching them abc's and 123's before they go to school. What do you think?

I have way much homework, atleast 4-5 hours worth of that. When it is Spring Break, they gave me 10 pages of homework, its called a VACATION for a reason. It really messed up my brain, I'm more tense to fo that many homework. Like half of the homework is pointless. I don't even have time to go out anymore. Why can't teachers gave us a break for once, please my life is already hard enoungh to do homework, I'm only in 8th grade.

ive resolved to overcome my laziness and start going to school tommorow. But the problem is, i don't know what to tell my teachers and counselor who are sure to be inquisitive about my absense (i did this kind of thing once and told them i was sick) so the "sick" excuse won't work again. im in 7th grade btw

My daughter is 4 years old currently having exam in her kindergarten. I did revision with her and I found that she can match the alphabet wih the pictures and small alphabet to capital alphabet. But I think she has a problwm in writing the sequence of alphabet in order. She knows her ABC but she cant when she writes it she just can't follow the sequence. is that normal or is she having some problem. But she writes it for numbers.It will helpful if any kindergarten teacher or mothers to comments.

When it snows on a school day and students do not need to attend school, the days are adding to the end of the year. Where are the days added if you go to a year-round school? Are they added at all?
