First, you have to get rid of the attitude about your teacher because even though he/she may be retarded... you can't do anything about that. The only thing you can do is write a good essay, so get if you're not a performer, find someone who is and interview them. Interview a few performers and ask them how they prepare to give a good performance and what do they do when they're feeling nervous before they go on. Do it like a script for a show and you're the host. The star, if you will. Investigative reporter... whatever floats your boat. As long as you get into it and turn out a good essay and get a good grade ;-) Break a leg!

first research the definition of Performance Attitude and Anxiety so you can include that in your thesis
then keep on researching....theres info out there just keep looking
all i can say is performance=anxiety
anxiety of screwing up, being laughed at, being judged...etc
