Primary & Secondary Education - February 2007

My son is adhd and hates daycare (pre-k). He is supposed to start kindergarten this fall, but he birthday is late august, so I was thinking of keeping him home. I won't be going back to work, so he won't be in daycare either. I had him screened through the school district and he scored above average. I don't think he is mature enough for kinder, but I don't want him to be bored if he waits a year. Has anyone struggled with this decision before. What did you decide? any regrets? thanks

Or the school superintend of the school system. When I was ask about doing a survey of the Freshmen Academy we now have in our school system, I was told it could not be done as a public survey. I was to ask the teachers (not the students) on how it was going, because they would know better then anyone. As a school board member, I feel this is not the right answer. The parents as well as the students should have a voice in this matter. Please let me know what you think ?
