Ever since I started 3rd grade, my grades haven't been where they should be. I get lots of C's, some D's, and ocassionally an F. I want A's and B's, more so since my parents pay lots of money for me to go to private school. But I'm not doing well.
I don't do my homework, and have no logical reason why, I just choose not to. I don't study for tests, or go to my teachers for help if I need it. In the beginning of the school year I do we'll, writing everything down, doing homework, etc. But it last only a few weeks.
I need help, but what can help? I can't get extra credit, my one teacher is REALLY hard, and even if I acxed everything (whch is next to impossible) i won't get a great grade. I really want my parents to be happy, and me to get the grades, but how. I'm desparate for help! PLEASE!!!!

I am a freshman in High School, and when asked where I'm from, I tell them I'm American, that I was born here, and that I don't speak any other languages. The truth is that I was born in Russia, immigrated when I was 5, live by a green card, and speak Russian at home :(


However, you can't tell that I'm Russian. My speech and appearance are perfectly normal. Should I tell everyone who asks the truth, keep lying the way I always have, or tell them that I'm Russian but was born here?

At our school every know and then we have a cell phone check cause cell phones arnt allowed at all (which is retarded) but any way is it legall for the staff to look through your stuff with out a search warrent????

so...teaching in teh South Bronx sucks! i have no books, I teach over 150 students, I've gotten robbed in school 3 times already this year, and Yes, no matter how positive and strict I try to be, I still have to yell at the top of my lungs to get simple things done (sit down)...so...don't know if I should just leave already, and focus on my wedding (seriously behind in planning due to job related stress) or stick it out till the end of the year...who knows...somebody steer me in the right direction please, I am about to have a nervous breakdown!:)

it's not all of them, but it's always the same 3 or 4, and I am at my wit's end about it. I cannot send them to the office when they disrupt the class, I write them up, but they never go to "friday detention" since there are no consequences for not showing up, and parents sound shocked when I tell them this (oh, not MY son!) and really, I see no improvement on their behavior. what do I do??

if so how did they find it?
I'm not happy with my daughters school, mainly due to violence going on around her almost every day.
Today she has been vacinated against Hepititus B and had blood taken because a boy in her class has stabbed her leg with a pin or needle.
If I move her schools immediately I am strongly considering an independent school.

I just finished one three hour exam that was complete handwriting. It is so painful. There was 5 essay questions, and each quesiton had a recommended length of 4-5 pages. Thats a lot of writing. I think I wrote 22 pages of normal size. I had to stretch my hand out many times. Owww. And I have another 3 hour exam in 1 hour. That too is all writing with essays. I think my hand will fall off after today. I was wondering what other people do when they have to do this much writing.
