I want to drop spanish badly, as it is nothing but stress for me really and a clogging of my schedule, but people have been telling me almost all colleges require it. Is it really that severe? I want to major in writing and communications, like directing movies and stuff when I get into college. Would language in High school really be that important?

Hey everyone! I am a high school sophomore preparing to register for classes for next year later this week. I realize its a bit absurd to think that I can pick out a future career when I am only 15, but allow me to tell you a few of my interests in case you have a suggestion for a career path, broad or specific, that I might enjoy. Knowing a general path will help me make good choices for next year's classes.

-I am considered to have exceptional skills in writing, especially analytical and technical writing (though in other forms as well). I enjoy expressing myself on paper and am in advanced Language Arts classes to accommodate this.
-I am two years advanced in math, and understand mathematical concepts quickly. I enjoy both geometry-based and algebra-based math, but don't particularly like pure number crunching.

Well I'm deciding my A-Level options for next year, so far I'm decided on French, Maths and History. I'm now wondering whether I should choose psychology or economics.

From first impressions, Psychology seems like it would be more 'fun', however Economics seems like it would be more use in my future, in general. I can't see what use psychology would have in my future, as I'm not doing any other sciences. Can anybody think why it would be useful?
So basically I want to kow your opinions on which would be a better choice, while taking into account:
Psychology looking more interesting,
Economics seeming more useful,
Compatibility with my other subjects,
Which one is higher regarded by universities,
I'm already good at business studies, which is related but not the same as economics and I've never done psychology before.

Oh and by the way, I don't really know what I want to do in the future, maybe languages.

I'm rambling quite a bit aren't I >_<

I'm french educated (I don't live in france) but I speak english as well (I'm half american). I'm in high school and have good grades, I am planning on pursuing a medical career so I'm focusing on science. I want to go to an American College too. I'm hesitating between going to IB or Bac S (in science), take a look at this link to see what is bac S:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_Baccalaureate
It's called S or série scientifique. They focus on math and science.

So which program do you think I should follow? Which one is better for my medical career?
