I am taking a survey on pencil preferences. Which do you prefer to use at school; mechanical pencils or regular pencils?

I am not sure. I like both, but I prefer to use mechanical pencils because you don't ever take time sharpening pencils, and I think it makes you work a little faster. No yucky pencil shavings, either!
*Just remember, on the S.A.T. tests, you cannot use mechanical!

I prefer using mechanical pencils. They are easier to use, to me. They don't need to sharpen, and you don't have to worry about if the point will break. Sure, sometimes the led will break, too, but that is only if you press hard on it. Occasionally I use regular pencils if I ran out of led for a mechanical pencil on the spot (which is a bit of a down side to it), but other than that, mechanical pencils rule! (lol)

Mechanical. You don't have to sharpen them, so they never really dull the way wood and graphite pencils do, and they are much easier to write and draw with. I will occasionally use regular pencils when drawing, but I typically prefer to use mechanical ones.

Mechincal pencils are better 0.5 for me as long as I have lead and a eraser.But when regular pencils sometimes comes around i wouldn't mind either one...i perfer those #2 pencils that are dark, hard i think. I perfer pencils that make my writing seem darker.

I only use mechanical. There is nothing worse then having to waste time on an important test shapening your pencil over and over again

i write sorta small and press very hard on the paper when i write so .7 mm mechanical pencils are best for me. but i usually never write with any thing other then blue pen

Mechanical. I don't like how regular pencils get dull, altho they can be useful when filling out scantrons.

definately mechanical. the lead of regular pencils break in my purse...and draw on the inside...not good.
