are all people on academic teams considered nerds?

No. Some are nerdy, but others are just naturally smart.

Well, that depends on what you consider a NERD...
A smart, well informed person who knows details about things that others would consider to be "uncool"...
then I guess the answer is yes...
But hey, the nerd gets the cheerleader in the end...
(revenge of the nerds)...
People on academic teams are by far the most interesting people to talk to...
They have the coolest tidbits of info and are always willing to share it with you!!
The best way to start a conversation with your newly acquired knowledge is:
"did you know..."
So, keep your head high and don't worry, even the coolest kids are secretly nerds deep with in...

Of course not. Alot of my friends are on the academic team. I actually would like to be on it I'm just not that smart. But no one at my school thinks of them as nerds. Most of them play a sport and are in band too and are well known in our school.

No; most kids on academic teams are well rounded; they are involved in sports, fine arts programs, work, and do community service, as well as being intelligent. IN addition, they get to tell their friends all sorts of crazy facts they learned by being on academic teams, which is actually pretty sweet.

Yes and No. It really depends on who you ask. Im sure some people would see them all as being nerds.
But think of it this way. When the olympics(not the modern day version) originally started in Rome it was required of all athletes to recite a poem on the spot between athletic events.

No, sometimes you run into the person who seems to just have it all (charm, brains, athletic ability, etc).
Kinda like Zach on Saved By The Bell.

they are certainly brainy
but they can do other things too, like sports.
people are begining to realize being smart is not such a bad thing.
