Here it's 15 days. If someone misses more than that, they can make them repeat their classes. Usually they offer some kind of credit recovery program, like Saturdays or afterschool where the kids who missed a lot have to make up the hours they missed. Sometimes even going in for tutorials can count toward making up time, if the teacher will sign for how long they were there.

According to my high schooler son, a student cannot miss more than 10 days in any one semester. Thats in the state of Florida, so other states may be differrent.

i know a girl like that. she missed school like one a week. and if she wasnt absent she was late, so she almost always missed 1st period. she went to a new school, i wonder if she went to the next grade though.

a Friend of mine has a daughter who failed every subject last year , i seen her report cards .they moved her up to high school.
were she is failing also.she missed over 50 days last year

they only hold you back if you don't pass. if you can get someone else to take your tests you never have to go to school at all.
