That depends on what grade your in and what your main goal is. For example i got a D in Algebra as a Sophomore. All i know is that i had to make a decision then and there if i was going to go to Junior College or a 4 year college. I decided Junior College and therefore focused on my G.P.A. This class only made sense to keep and work through if i was my ultimate goal was a 4 year institution. I didn't need this class for a Jr. College so therefore i dropped it in order for my G.P.A. to look good. As i said i am not sure quite what your looking for but if you need to know this is what your counselor is for. He/she can answer any of your questions. Simply go to your office and make an appointment. Do not be afraid of the office people they always act like they are the sh*t. The counselors are totally cool!

This probably varies from school to school, but no one who is doing all their homework every night and participating actively in class should earn a D in algebra or any subject. Perhaps a better question is, "if I only make a C in algebra, can I still get into the college of my choice?"

(quite possibly not!)

Its all up to the teacher, i know some teachers who pass D's and some who fail D's, just talk to your teacher and ask them about it.

At my school they take each semester grade times .45 and then add your final into the final 10% to get your final grade, so unless you bombed a final you should be alright. Unless your teacher fails D's
