17-19 depends on when you entered kindergarten and if you were ever held back.

Here in the USA, most 12th graders (high school seniors) are 17-18 years old. In some school districts. it's not uncommon to see 20+ still in the 12th grade - these are probably the repeaters or those who had to skip school for a year or two (for whatever reasons).
Me? I was 14 during my senior yr. (born and schooled in the Philippines)...with a February birthday, I was barely 15 when I graduated in March 19?------ nevermind the year...LOL
