Hi. I'm a highschools student, and I revise before exams, I know most of what I revise. However, when I enter the exam, I cannot but help a feel a coldness, a feel of confusion. This causes me to write down pathetic answers (wrong answers). I know this because, after I've looked through my exam papers, I have made easy mistakes, and gone wrong where I shouldn't have. I know the stuff, but I'm not that confident to show it on the exam paper. What should I do? I can't really relax during an exam.

i'm a freshman in high school, in the honors program, and i'm taking latin as my foreign language. i have the option of continuing latin for the next two years, or switching to a new language for the next three, and i'm having a tough time deciding. i've heard that taking latin helps you on the vocabulary portion of the SAT exam, but i've also heard that taking latin is a complete waste of time and that taking a modern language can better help you in the real world when getting a job after you graduate. i don't plan on getting a job that involves me speaking a different langauge, so i'm on the fence. any advice?

Ours is a very good school but the rule is that pupils can only
drink water. They are not allowed flavoured water or juice.
(Particularly if they take their lunch in). If they have school
dinners they might have juice then.

When going to college for elementary education, how necessary it is to attend a better college? Does it affect how good of a school you can teach at or do they simply look at your scores?

The school where my son goes is ridicullous. They act as if it is a college prep school or a private school. He is 11 in 5th grade and tell me the reason behind the three hours of homework each night is to prepare him for High school. Never mind that he has a mandatory science project due on the 22, a presidential book report due on the 28 and must read 30 minutes each night....the homework still comes. If he misses any assignment he gets detention after the third one. he has detention to serve tomorrow. They give out assignments a week in advance and different due dates for each, the student are expected to copy the assignments from the board and are supposed to be responsible for turning them in on time with no reminders given. I am told this is to prepare them for high school. When did schools start peparing them at such an early age?

After all these sort of kids that play truant are the kids that won't get any GCSE's whether they are in school or not, and lets face it if they are not in school then at least they won't be attacking a teacher and surely while they are playing truant they can be learning new skills that will benefit them later in life like washing windscreens and shoplifting.

TEACHER SACKED IN ALL-FAIL STORM
ROB MITCHELL’S thirty 16-year-old pupils were upset when they all failed their GCSE English exam at the Newton Magna Comprehensive School.
Local Education chiefs were even more surprised, and in a shock swoop yesterday, sacked Mitchell.
Bearded, leather-jacketed Mitchell(22), a member of Heysham Young Marxist League, was last night planning an appeal at the Young Street flat which he shares with youth leader Ted Harvey(27) and art student Nike Sontag (19).
‘The pupils both enjoyed and benefited from my lessons,’ he claimed,’ this is all a dreadful misunderstanding.’
One of Mitchell’s pupils, blonde, 16 year old Cheryl Sprockett said: ‘He was great. He didn’t shout at you like some of the other teachers. His lessons were fun.’
Mitchell’s lessons were chaotic, said a parent. ‘The children did as they liked.’
Damage to classrooms at the school is extensive.

i'm in 11th grade and at my school there is this teacher who doesn't even teach me but he acts really wierd with me. Hes like the strictest teacher in the school to everyone but me. Once he took a photo of me and started going on about how much he LIKED it, i mean it was just a pic of me playing with my hair. Another time i was in his room for some reason and he just came out with 'fancy a job rosa' and winked at me, then a few days later he was shouting at some kids and came up to me after and said 'i'm not mean, well i'm not mean to you because i know you like and i'm nice to you, you've seen my nice side ' and winked at me yet again. Whenever i walk past he has to have some degree of eye contact with me and whenever i talk to him he always touches me on the arm or shoulder. Its only me hes like this with, why am i been singled out like this? (sorry for posting so much i want professional opinions of other teachers)
