As a sophomore in college i remember this game we used to play in gym class with this giant rainbow colored sheet. We'd all life it up and run under it and stuff. I'm sure other's of you remember this activity...anyway apparently....they now banned this activity from elementary school gym classes because it's to "violent" my friend wants to become a physical education teacher so this is how i found this out..I'm surprised. I also heard dodge ball was banned from some schools as well as tug of war and tag!! Does anyone else think this is at any way dumb?

If you enter a high school with low averages, will that effect your college applications?
I'm unsure if I should enter a high school closer to me with a school average of 4, or another high school with an average of a 7.
If I do well, would it matter what high school I went to, or would it be fine?

I'm only fifteen at the moment, but my dream as of right now, is to become a Kindergarten teacher. There are other jobs I'd like to try, though, as a teaching job doesn't pay very well. I've thought about being a Guidance Counselor, a type of therapist- most likely physical therapy...but I am running out of ideas. I need some jobs that include working with people, especially jobs that help children...I love being around children. I've thought about being a social worker...are there any other ideas? Could you give me a list, and explain what each job includes? And how much that job pays, if you know...thanks a bunch!

I've always hated Mondays, but I never minded school. Now that I'm a freshman, I hate it. It's horrible. I just feel so grouchy right now, because it's Sunday night, and I don't want to go to school. Can anyone give me some advice on how to deal with it, and how to enjoy school, and not spend my Sundays dreading my Mondays?? I really need help, I just don't want to go!

I'm going to literally die!
Ok, I go to a new school. And my old school, it was hard but I understood everything because I had really good teachers. Now, my new school, is ugly and disgusting and the teachers here (except for one) are SOOOOO bad at teaching. I'm scared if I don't make the honor roll, because of them. What should I do? I am in eighth grade and how am I going to make it in college? If I don't make the honor roll, I can't be able to say I I've made the honor roll all my life. Am I stupid? I FEEL SOOO STUPID!!!! How am I going to get into a good college?!

AM I DUMB?

PLEASE HELP ME!

I'm not like other students that I've talked to thus far. I've been in the IBMYP program from sixth grade until now, sophomore year, but have absolutely no idea what I plan to do after college, though I'm fairly certain it won't be any sort of high intelligiance ground-breaking career. Which brings the question to mind...why am I in this program, anyway?

If, as the powers that be say, our younger children are struggling to obtain standards with the three R's, Reading, Writing and Arithmetic. How come there are so many more passing their A Levels and Highers. Does puberty suddenly make the brain cells go into learning overdrive and suddenly everything falls into place?
I Dont think so!!

I have found a old drawing done by a kid on a school trip who must have been aboard - should I track down the school and (now adult) kid from 1976, or is that just plain creepy? How would you feel if you were e-mailed/ written to decades after a trip by someone who found your line drawing?

I'm a high school senior, I've got a lot of choices ahead of me. I'd really like to know what you think.

I really enjoy working with small children, they inspire me to be a better person. I know I can teach, I teach within my church, so I know I'm good at it. The only thing holding me back is the pay. We all know that teachers do not have a very high income. This is why I have the second major (voice) in the back of my mind. I have also considered teaching voice lesson for children and teens. My passion is teaching so no matter what I'll become a teacher but What kind of teacher is still up in the air. I guess I really would like to hear from those who do teach and see what you think. So if you teach please tell me your experience...
