I'm going to literally die!
Ok, I go to a new school. And my old school, it was hard but I understood everything because I had really good teachers. Now, my new school, is ugly and disgusting and the teachers here (except for one) are SOOOOO bad at teaching. I'm scared if I don't make the honor roll, because of them. What should I do? I am in eighth grade and how am I going to make it in college? If I don't make the honor roll, I can't be able to say I I've made the honor roll all my life. Am I stupid? I FEEL SOOO STUPID!!!! How am I going to get into a good college?!

AM I DUMB?

PLEASE HELP ME!

Ok. Time to chill out.
1.) Making the honor roll does NOT guarantee your admittance into college - they look at a plethora of other things: community service, standardized test scores, involvement in activities, well-roundedness, etc.
2.) These teachers might have been trained in a different way than they were at your old school. I'm sure they are not deliberately trying to fail anyone. It is your responsibility to go to them when you don't understand something and ask them for help. You could see if there are any study groups at your school, or ask a parent for help with your homework.
3.) Give the school a chance. Maybe it's much different from your old school but it's not necessarily horrible. Try to find the good points of your school and take advantage of them.
4.) The honor roll is, in the large scheme of things, not very important. So relax.

calm down, it happens to a lot of people. going to a new school, getting used to new people and the different ways of teaching etc itself is a big deal.

when i went to a different school, i had the same feeling because of the terrible teachers and the favoritism they showed. (good thing you dont have to contend with that) but that is what made me work harder and made me more determined to do better.

if you made to honor roll all your life, you are an exceptional student and can do better by studying on your own, researching at the library, internet, talking to friends... teachers only dont control what we learn or how well we do at school.

so, take a deep breath, stay focussed and determined and go get 'um!

Ok whoo calm down, take a breath, I also am in grade eioght, but have NNEVER made the honour role, I'm smart I just don't try anyways back to you, if you don't make the honour role once then its not a big deal, trust me! and no you are odviously not dumb for god's sacks youv made the honour role many times befor right. And second of all colleges and universities don't look at any of your marks befor grade 10, they can't(well at least in Canada, but probly in the states 2) so just chill, you are 13 or 14 so calm down and be a teen-ager for once

Hope it helped!, let me know

You sound like a girl who is freaking out. If you use to get good grade at your old school, there should be no reason that you can't do it at your new school. Do what you have always done, there is a period where you have to adapt to your new school, where you might not understand everything that is going on but if you refer back to what has always worked for you you will succeed. If it is necessary study more and ask your teachers more questions.

well, your school might be a tough school, and tough schools judge harder. good high schools and good collages pick students that get good grades, but if they know that a school is hard, they would pick students that get A minuses or B pluses. depends on the school.

sorry if this isn't any help...
