My 8yr old niece just gets tested over and over - where is the teaching? Are the teachers just trying to make the kids pass the federal tests or will they ever begin to teach? I think it's criminal not to teach knowledge and thinking skills in school.

The government has scrapped a lot of Coursework for GCSEs. I think this is a TERRIBLE idea/move forward. As a lot of kids go to pieces in exams.

I'm grading papers, and the child has used the correct number of lines, which is 5, however, doesn't it need to intersect? Thanks!

He drew the Star of David, and it doesnt' intersect. I have no key for grading this problem. Thanks.

My sister has just entered grade nine this year, and all her life, her general school experience has been difficult and vicious. I'm in grade 11, and have no idea how to help her out. Our family has been investigating schooling over the internet. How do we go about getting information for these kinds of programs? She is of average academic status; and so far our family is unsure of how to find out about things like this. Any help is appreciated.
