Why do you think that when somebody asks a question about physics it might receive an answer or two but ask something like why do lamb and beef taste different and the answers come flying in.
Do you think it's because the majority of Yahoo users are thick?

My friend believes that school uniform is illegal under "Rights of a Child" Is there any way this could be correct?

Remember at school, usually the girls would make these paper things that went over your fingers. You moved them sorta in and out. They had numbers and colours written on them.

THIS IS HARD TO EXPLAIN.

It went sort of like this.
Whats your favorite number?
Whats your favorite colour?
Another number. then you would lift the flap and read what was written, It was usually something dumb like,
"Your not wearing undies" Then everyone would roll all about laughing their heads off.

Did it even have a name?

Can anyone tell if it is standard and required by the state of Illinois that a Behavioral Plan be part of an IEP? Or is it just an optional additional document done? I was under the impression that if a childs behavior impedes his own or others learning abilities, that it was a required PART of the IEP, not an additional document.

This is for an Emotional distirb student.

I work in a high school and I deal with the worst of the worst behavioral students. All of them lie, cheat, and call me names. When I write them up, the parents tell their kids to apologize but they never do. Today the mother told her son several times to apologize to me but he never did. Why is it so hard for these kids to apologize when they know they have behaved so badly?

I am having a miserable time with student teaching. Please share your stories only if you hate student teaching also.

DO NOT respond if your student teaching is great. I have heard all these nice stories I only want to hear of someone else hates student teaching and why so I won't feel so alone.

My daughter is in 7th grade. Last year in sixth grade every time she was assigned a research report it was a major project that involved buying project board and ink for my color printer because they require pictures. Now I'm seeing it again in 7th grade. Also, these kids are not allowed to bring the projects on the bus so I have to drive her to and from school on those days. I never had to do this type of thing in school when I was a kid - not even high school (or college for that matter). And it isn't that they are being prepared for real life because presentations in the workplace are usually done on Power Point.
Okay, I know that this was more like a rant than a question but I just want to know - what is the benefit?

Perhaps it's just the school my kids go too, but i've noticed that every year it's the same kids that are chosen for the main parts in the school productions, it's those same kids that get the awards etc(usually relatives of the teaching staff)..Do you think is fair..Don't you think the teachers should give the other kids a chance and be fair? Why should those very kids get more attention?

Ok...my first question wasn't specific enough so here it goes AGAIN! Me and my friend are doing a project for healthful living on physical abuse. And we did some research but couldn't find any reasons for physical abuse. So we need some reasons for why people either abuse themselves or others. We would GLADLY appreciate it for some more answers besides depression! Thank you!

To be honest I hate sports....and therefore I know nothing about sports and I'm not very good at playing sports. During phy ed class if we're playing a sport (even kickball) I can't stay focused. I can't keep track of where everyone is, and what everyone is doing and what I'm supposed to be doing and when.. Its all just so confusing to me and I can't keep track and this causes my mind to wander. Last year I had trouble because even if I tried to stay focused, I couldn't. Not many people in my class liked me because of this. Everyone thought I just wasn't trying. It's kind of like when you try to fall asleep, it makes it even harder....and when I try to stay focused it makes it even harder. ANy ideas that might help me do better in this class?
