I don't have any children but it was available in JR. High and High School. What they should do is what my work does....make the water like .65 cents and make the soda's $1.50.
Personally I think soda should be banned from the world, but that's me!

No. it is not available to children. I have both elementary school and middle school kids. There is a soda machine on both campuses, but they are in the teacher's lounge. No soda available to kids though. They are not allowed to bring it in their lunchboxes either. (from home)
I live in San Diego

Well, sort of. After lunch, the drink machines are turned on, but they can only sell things like Powerade, Fruitopia, or Milk. This has only just happened though.

Too much sugar and caffeine! Something needed to be done.

Soda keeps going between banned from sale and banned from sale during school hours. Hi-fat, bad tasting lunches and hi-calorie 15% fruit juice are what kids are supposed to eat!

The high school I attended before Hurricane Katrina can't even provide luch since they've re-opened. Before the storm we had numerous soda machines and we even had lunch. I'm glad I graduated.

Yes in elementary schools and in high schools and they are the same price as water ($1.25 for 20oz.).

Due to health hazards, I feel that it should be banned in elementary school but maybe not highschool because by that time, students are old enough to make fairly(let's hope so) smart decisions regarding their bodies.

Yep yep the HS I'm attending has so many vending machines. We have soda machines, Gatorade/water machines, ice cream machines, fatty food machines, and they are planning to add fruit machines.
