Does anyone here has any personal experience about application to UCs (like Berkeley, LA, San Diego,..) ?
I got some scores : SAT I : 1830, SAT II Math : 800, SaT II Chemistry : 730, GPA : 4.00 (Junior), no awards or activities, and I'm an international student for 2nd years.
I just want to ask one simple question : Do I have any chance to go to those universities ?
Please answer frankly to me.
Thank you very much !!!

I currently have a B.S. in Computer Science as well as an M.S. in Software Engineering. Professionally, I'm a software developer.

However, I wish to learn about electrical engineering as well. Not because I want a job building circuitboards, but I just find the topic fascinating.

I'm considering attending DeVry University and getting a B.S. in Electronics Engineering Technology. But I'm concerned that having a second B.S., particularly one from DeVry, might make me look worse than if I just had the other two on my resume.

Is this worth doing? I'd really like a somewhat formal education in the topic (it gives me career options, plus I can learn better with instructors than on my own), but I'm worried I might be better off with a couple Dummies books and a trip to Radio Shack.

i always have been a very good student and will try my hardest to get straight A's next semester. this is my first semester in college. i am worried that i am no longer going to be able to obtain the job in which i want. i know it will take hard work and am willing to put in the effort. i went to college and wanted to have fun because i always lived at home with my parents before this and felt free to do whatever i wanted. i made some friends that most likely are in the same boat as me when it comes to their grades, however i do not see them pulling their grades up. i know i can not hang out with these people or else i will "relapse" again next semester.

Basically i would like to know that after screwing up REALLY bad this first semester would i still be able to become anything that i want. If i decide that i want to go to law school or perhaps med school would this still be possible if my grades from next semester on are stellar??

I am currently at a Community College :(
Next year I want to attend a four year university. The University I want to go to requires that I have 23 credits to be able to transfer.
Because it is just the end of the first semester, I only have 15 credits.

Does this mean that at the end of the school year I need to have 23 credits to be able to transfer? Or do I need to have them by now?

Also, is it possible to apply to a school right after the school year is over? Probably not smart though?

I'm sure that someone on here has an idea of what I mean. And if anyone knows anyone who may know, PLEASE ask them.

Thank you,

~Zach

I have school notes from the end of 8th grade until now, all saved in folders divided by the classes...I just kept them because it was work that I did and liked, it would take a lot of time to look through them and take what i liked the most..

I know i can scan them but my scanner needs software n it doesnt work cuz my 16bit screen doesnt allow it etc etc...
i dont know what to do, it takes up like an entire drawer and more.. I also save birthday cards and holiday cards since like years ago. I like memories and I dont like to forget things, the problem is space and organization..

thanks...

I've read several reports indicating that girls are scoring higher in secondary and post secondary education. They're also getting into college at higher rates (i think it's 51% girls to 49% boys right now). Boys on the other hand are going in the opposite direction. Worse scores, lower admissions into school.

Is there something causing this trend, several things, or are girls just getting smarter?

My grades in high school were average. The school I want to get into requires:

ApplyTexas application (Parts I and II)
One essay from topics A, B or C
Official high school transcript including class rank or statement that school does not rank
The State of Texas Recommended or Distinguished Graduation Program or equivalent; for details consult your guidance counselor
SAT or ACT scores with writing section included* (test codes: ACT 4178, SAT 6667)

If I try harder is there a better chance I'd be accepted?

Alright, so your doing you pre-pharm courses (as a freshman).
4-year, or 2-year pre-pharm? what factors should you consider?

When do to take the PCATs? how do you prepare?

How do u get in? what are they looking for?

What can u expect once you get in? what kind of classes?

Any info would be helpful!

When you enter a University how do you go about to obtain special honors at your ceremony the end of your college study? ( example: in High School you get the National Honor Society recognition by wearing a stash around your neck)

Do you go by the same procedure in high school where you fill out an application, or is it offered to you? Who do you get in contact with..etc?

Obvioulsy it's MUCH harder to be accepted into University of Michigan than Michigan State, so therefore wouldn't a doctor from U of M be better/smarter than a doctor from MSU in the same field? Wouldn't a Harvard grad be better/smarter than a doctor who graduated from Central Michigan University?

These are suppose to be blow off classes. But I took the course seriously. I bought brand new sweats, tennis shoes, racket, and other equipment. The coach is also the University's Football Coach and he was really nice. I worked so hard this semester because I'm trying to get into the Nursing Program for thet Spring. But the "B" that I have in Tennis is what's keeping me from having the GPA I need to be accepted. What should I do? Grades just went in today. I called his office. He's outta town till Jan. but the assist coach told me I could E-mail him or call their secretary in the morning. I need to send my scores to the school of nursing before Jan. 7th. Please serious answers only.

Like National Univerity, or other schools that are more known for their online programs? Has anyone reading this graduated from a school like this, and has it hurt or helped to have it on your resume.

I can't go to a brick and mortar school right now, so UofP might be my only option.

Any thoughts?
