I am a high school senior debating what I should major in next year.

I want to double major in Communications and Economics, however both majors are offered in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences as opposed to the College of Business Administration.

Does it hurt your chances of getting into Business School if your major is not from the College of Business Administration?

When it is all said and done I would like to receive a Bachelor's degree in Communications and Economics and a Master's degree in Business Administration, but first I need to know if this is possible.

Please remeber that I have not started uni yet. I'm still at college, but I'm curious.

Is it anything like doing a degree? Is it all coursework, exams, or just one major project?

Also, roughly how many years do they go on for, and how would they benefit you?

I currently make close to $10/hour which is pathetic considering I have completed 3 years of college and I'm almost 33 years old. I want to get a degree, but I have a 6 year old and no other caregivers that I can depend on so I can attend classes. I'm also limited in funds (still paying for the 3 years from 1994, 1995, and 1996!). I am NOT interested in degrees where you pay $500-$1,000 and they mail you a diploma and transcript. I want to earn my degree. Thank you!

I am a freshmen at the #1 public school in the country (Thomas Jefferson High) in VA. I want to go to Stanford University.
a) I am wondering what kind of activities I should start participating in and looking to lead.
b) I am an athlete and I love football and lacrosse and should I try and get recruited and start working now to be an exceptional athlete because I've heard it's easiest to get into Stanford through athletics.
c) What should my grades look like by the end of Junior year and what AP classes should I take in the coming years.
d) what are the best volunteering and community service things to do
e) I'm almost an Eagle Scout
f) Anything else that I should do that would SET ME APART from the other really smart kids at my school.

I would love to go there on an athletic scholarship or something;

But if anyone could give me a sample resume of what it takes to get into Stanford and what activities and grades are really good that would be really great.

Thank you for your time.

Is it true that if your not accepted to one of the other Uc's that you apply to that you will still be referred to and accepted by Riverside or Irvine as long as your UC eligible????????????

I have a unweighted GPA of a 3.6 and a weighted gpa of a 4.0.
I have over 440 community service hours. I've been volunteering at a hospital for over a year. I'm in tennis, fbla, interact and NHS. I'm historian of my NHS and VP of fbla. However, i have a really low score in my SAT and ACT. Low as in a 950/22.

My son seems to be overwhelmed by the normal things that are coming his way. He's involved with a sports team, and his roommate and he get along fine. He comes home almost every weekend and spends a lot of time with the kids that are still in high school. I commuted when I went to college and my husband didn't attend, so we don't know what he's going through- so any insight would be helpful.

I was explaining to my dad of how I want to Major in Music Performance, and Minor in Business Management. Though the feedback was that I should Major in Business and Minor in Music. My passion is singing, and I feel as though I should Major in something like that, but he explianed to me that Business should be my major because it could help me out way more and get me further in my future than having a major in music can.

So which one should I major in, and which one should I minor?

There are a lot of things I like about Duke, but Duke is too 'jocky', politically apathetic, and surprisingly anti-intellectual. I'm not a fan of Duke's social scene for the most part. The one thing I have in common with many Blue Devils is Super Smash Bros(which is a good thing)! I have a lot of acquaintances but haven't made too many close friends because I don't have a lot in common with the people who go there. Right now, I am thinking of majoring in math. I will either go for pre-law or possibly pre-med (leaning more towards law though).

Will I be able to avoid the things I don't like about Duke at Brown, Columbia, Chicago, Swarthmore, and Dartmouth? (Top five choices, if I decide to transfer)

NOTE: I will not have people vote on Best Answer this time, I'll pick it myself.
